We just revealed to you how Akshay Kumar has decided to postpone the release of Pad Man. The inspirational film was set to clash with Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor’s Padmaavat this Republic Day week on January 25. However, with the fact that both the films would lose out on collections and footfalls, Akshay graciously decided to postpone his film to February 9. And with that, this will be the first time an Akshay Kumar Republic Day release has been shifted from its original release date. If you look at the last few years, whenever there is an Akshay Kumar film coming out Republic Day, be it Airlift (2016) or Baby (2015), films clashing with him were postponed and not Akshay’s film! Surprising isn’t it?
Akshay Kumar generally never shifts his release date and he doesn’t mind clashing with any film too. He has taken on Hrithik Roshan‘s Mohenjo Daro (2016), Tusshar Kapoor’s Kya Kool Hain Hum 3 (2016) and several other films in the past few years. But this is the first time, he is shifting the release of his film over the past few years. While we are still waiting to know Akshay Kumar’s word on why he moved his film, share with us your thoughts about his decision in the comments section below!
