After enjoying a decent opening day, Zareen Khan and Karan Kundrra starrer 1921 showed a decent jump on its second day at the box office.The horror film raked in Rs 2.09 crore and now stands with the grand total of Rs 3.65 crore. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the official collections on his Twitter account, “#1921Movie Fri 1.56 cr, Sat 2.09 cr. Total: ₹ 3.65 cr. India biz.” The film is expected to collect around Rs 6 crore in its opening weekend at the ticket window.

Earlier in a statement Zareen had said, “I have never done a horror genre so, it’s very challenging for me. But I am really looking forward to this one.” The film revolves around a couple dealing with their dark pasts and secrets to secure their present and future. On the occasion of the first day of shoot Vikram said “The point is to just not scare but to make the audience feel for the characters that and want them protected. 1921 is a film that goes beyond the genre. Known directing hit films like Raaz, Raaz 3, Haunted and 1920, Vikram Bhatt’s last film few films like Raaz Reboot and Mr. X has failed to create ant magic at the box office. Since there is no competition in the upcoming week, the film has two open weeks to perform at the ticket window. Since the film is made in the modest budget, we can expect it recover its investment through its theatrical run. But what will be the lifetime business of this horror film?
